Detective Conan completes 1000 episodes by airing the 61st episode of 29th season. It is now the 16th longest running anime series with Sazae-san being the first with a whopping 7000+ episodes. The show began airing on January 8, 1996 and it is animated by studio TMS Entertainment. The manga started serialization in ‘Weekly Shonen Sunday’ back in 1994 and it is written and illustrated by Gosho Aoyama with over 1060+ chapters.


Apart from 1000 episodes, Detective Conan has 24 Anime Film, 4 Live Action Films and 1 Live Action Series.


Story –
The story follows a young detective Shinichi Kudo, a high school detective who works with the police to solve cases. He encounters Black Organization while investigating one of the cases. They force him ingest a pill, which instead of killing him, transforms him into a child. To hide his identify he adopts Edogawa Conan as a name and starts to work with a private investigator to solve the mystery of the drug and find the Black Organization.


The Hindi dubbed version aired in India on Hungama TV, but it was axed after 2 seasons.
