On Monday, Kyoto Animation revealed the second teaser trailer for Free The Final Stroke Part 1 anime film in the 2-part film project. The company also revealed the key visual and theme song information. OLDCODEX will perform the theme song for the first film.
Free! The Final Stroke film will be split into two parts. The first part will premiere in Japan on September 17, 2021, followed by the second part on April 22, 2022. The films are described as the “last chapter” of the series.
From Friday, July 30th, the “MoviTicke Cards” with a “petit ticket holder” (A7-size clear file folder with 2 pockets) will be on sale. MoviTicke Cards can be purchased at screening theaters and advance ticket service “Major” nationwide. The cards will feature 12 characters: Haruka, Makoto, Rin, Ikuya, Asahi, Sosuke, Hiyori, Nagisa, Rei, Natsuya, Nao, and Albert.
Free takes place in the Japanese town of Iwatobi, which is centred on Iwami, Tottori. Haruka Nanase, a talented swimmer in high school, is the protagonist of the story.
