On Monday, the official website for Hetalia – Axis Powers stage musical announced a new stage musical that will open in Tokyo and Osaka in December 2021. Yuta Higuchi will play the character Romano and he will join all the returning cast from the previous musicals. The previous musical, Musical Hetalia Final Live ~A World in the Universe~, opened in March 2018.

Staff
Kōtarō Yoshitani will direct the play. He is known for Bakumatsu Rock stage plays, Alice in the Country of Hearts musical, La Corda d’Oro Blue Sky musical, etc. Yūsei Naruse is responsible for the screenplay. Production will be handled by Polygon Magic and 4CU is producing the musical.
Synopsis
The plot of Hetalia revolves around anthropomorphized countries and regions from all over the world as bishōnen characters. The show frequently employs satire and light-hearted comedy to reinterpret well-known events as well as lesser-known historical and cultural trivia.
Manga
Hetalia Axis Powers is written by Hidekaz Himaruya and it was serialized under Gentosha’s Birz Extra. As of October 31, 2013, the series was compiled into six tankōbon volumes.
Himaruya’s Hetalia World Stars manga is the most recent addition to the franchise. The manga debuted in Shonen Jump+ when the website was launched, but it went on hiatus in April 2018. On April 1, the manga returned to Shonen Jump+.
Anime
On April 1, the new anime adaptation of Hidekaz Himaruya’s Hetalia World Stars manga debuted. This is the most recent anime in the franchise. The 12-episode anime aired from April 1, 2021 to June 17, 2021. Hiroshi Watanabe directed the anime at Studio Deen.
A anime film titled Hetalia: Axis Powers – Paint it, White! premiered on June 5, 2010. Bob Shirohata directed the film at Studio Deen.
Game
Gakuen Hetalia Portable game was released on the PlayStation Portable console on March 24, 2011. The game was developed by Otomate and published by Idea Factory.
