The official website for the television anime adaptation of “Tajimi’s Mino ware pottery” promotional manga Yakunara Mug Cup Mo (Let’s Make a Mug Too) confirmed on Monday that the series will return in October with a new season titled Yakunara Mug Cup Mo Niban Kamo (Let’s Make a Mug Too: Second Kiln).

The core cast and crew will return for the upcoming season. The website posted a key visual to celebrate the announcement.

Synopsis

The anime is available on Crunchyroll. The company describes the series as –
Together with her father, who had quit his salaryman job, Toyokawa Himeno moves to Gifu prefecture’s Tajimi city. That’s the city where her mother is from, whom she had lost when she was still young. Himeno is now attending her mother’s alma mater, where her classmate Kukuri Mika invites her to tag along to a special place. That place turns out to be the pottery club! There, she learns for the first time that her mother was a legendary potter, and is consequently pulled into the world of pottery.

Anime

On February 14, 2020, an anime television series adaption was announced through Twitter. Tajimi and its tourism group worked together to create the anime. The series aired from April 3 to June 21, 2021.

The series’ opening theme theme song “Tobira o Aketara” was performed by Minami Tanaka, Yu Serizawa, Yūki Wakai, and Rina Honnizumi. The series’ ending theme song “Pale Blue” was performed by Aya Uchida.

Manga

Planet publishes the manga, which debuted in 2012 and is updated four times a year.

On January 28, a different manga adaptation for the anime debuted on Akita Shoten’s Manga Cross. Manga Cross is a website where you can read free manga. Osamu Kashiwara wrote and drew the manga.
