MX Player revealed on Twitter that the popular Korean drama series Doctor Stranger would be available in Hindi dub on its platform. On March 31, they made the announcement via Twitter, along with a promotional trailer. Take a look at the footage –
As of April 2, there are only 5 episodes available on the website. More episodes will be released in the near future. The show is also available in Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions, in addition to Hindi.
MX Player describes Doctor Stranger as –
As a child, Park Hoon and his father were kidnapped by North Korea. In North Korea, he was trained to become a doctor by his father who was already a doctor. Park Hoon became a genius-like heart surgeon. He then flees to South Korea. Park Hoon begins to work as a doctor in South Korea’s top hospital Myeongwoo University Hospital, but he feels like a complete outsider. To bring his love from North Korea, he does anything to make money.
Doctor Stranger is a South Korean television series that aired on SBS from May 5, 2014 to July 8, 2014. It stars Lee Jong Suk, Jin Se-Yeon, Park Hae-jin, and Kang So-ra. The show is highly popular in South Korea, and it has received numerous awards.
- Kang So-ra won Excellence Award, Actress at the 7th Korea Drama Awards
- Jin Se-Yeon won the Popular Star Award, Actress at 3rd APAN Star Awards
- Lee Jong-suk won SBS Special Award at SBS Drama Awards
The series has a total of 20 episodes. As the show had North Korean elements, it was highly popular among the Korean Korean youths who would obtain the show illegally.
