On Friday, the official website and Netlfix began streaming a new teaser for the upcoming Hiroshi Takashige and Ryōji Minagawa’s Spriggan anime. The anime was previously slated for release this year but now it has been delayed to 2022.
The website mentions that the staff are “working hard to aim for a higher quality video experience” and further details will be announced on a later date. The teaser also reveals more staff members.

Synopsis
Many years ago, an ancient civilization known for their advanced technology once ruled Earth, but were destroyed in the end by their misuse. So, they left messages for later generations in the form of indestructible message plates written in ancient Hebrew, informing them that if they could not find a good use for their creations, they should be destroyed. Various paramilitaries, national armies, and armed private forces began to secretly search for these “mysterious artifacts” in order to be used for their own good and against their enemies. Manga
Writter Hiroshi Takashige and Illustrator Ryōji Minagawa launched the manga in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shōnen Sunday in 1989. The manga was later moved to Shōnen Sunday Zōkan and it ran from 1992 and concluded in 1996. The series has been compiled in eleven tankōbon volumes.
