On Monday, the official website for Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds, announced that the game would release in Japan on June 10.

Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is a role-playing video game that will be published by Level-5 and developed by Netmarble. It will be released in Japan for Android and iOS and will be developed with the Unreal Engine 4 game engine. The game was revealed on November 2019 at G-Star event and the first gameplay footage was revealed at Tokyo Game Show in September 2020.

The plot of the game follows a beta tester for Soul Diver, a fictional augmented reality game that takes them to the world of Ni no Kuni. Before the game crashes due to a bug, they encounter an AI character called Rania inside Soul Diver. The character awakens in a burning city, where they rescue the Queen, who is discovered to be Rania’s parallel. The setting is based on Dominion of the Dark Djinn and Wrath of the White Witch.

The game features 5 classes to choose from, they are –
1. Destroyer
2. Engineer
3. Rogue
4. Swordsman
5. Witch

There are two gameplay modes –
Kingdom Mode – This is a co-op multiplayer mode in which players can travel around the world with their Imajinn.
Team Arena – A competitive multiplayer mode in which two teams of six players battle to collect the most Higgledies.

Netmarble Corp. is a smartphone game developer based in South Korea. Bang Jun-hyuk founded it in 2000 and it is South Korea’s largest mobile gaming company. Netmarble is well-known for its games such as Penta Storm (Arena of Valor), Star Wars: Force Arena, Uncharted Waters Online, WonderKing Online, and others.
