On Monday, Studio Z announced the development of ‘Shaman King: Funbari Chronicle’, the smartphone game app based on the new Shaman King anime series. The game will be released this year for iOS and Android smartphones. The pre-registration will begin in July.
Players can relive the story of the manga in “Mangatic Mode” of the game. The game will feature 3D graphics. Players can create their own teams using characters from the series. Check out the gameplay key visuals –
Shaman King anime released in Japan on April 1. Netflix has also released a trailer for the new series. However, fans might have to wait a bit longer before it comes to Netflix. The rebooted anime will closely follow Hiroyuki Takei’s classic manga series. The original anime aired between 2001-2002 with 64 episodes. The anime had an original ending which was different from the manga, due to the manga hiatus and cancellation.

In the world of Shaman King, shamans possess mysterious powers that allow them to commune with gods, spirits, and even the dead…and Manta Oyamada’s about to learn all about them, because his class just welcomed a new transfer student: Yoh Asakura, a boy from way off in Izumo…and a shaman in training!
Joji Furuta (Seven Deadly Sins, Saint Seiya : Soul of Gold) is going to direct the new series and Studio Bridge (Cardfight!! Vanguard G: Z) will animate it.
The series will feature returning cast members from 2001 anime including Megumi Hayashibara who will be performing the new opening and ending song. Other cast include –
