On Wednesday, Crunchyroll and Adult Swim revealed the English and Japanese casts for Blade Runner: Black Lotus. The 13-episode television anime series will be produced by the two companies in collaboration with Alcon Entertainment. The anime is based on Blade Runner 2049, the sequel to the 1982 film Blade Runner.

Blade Runner: Black Lotus first look will be revealed on July 23 at 8:00 p.m. EDT during the Comic-Con@Home 2021 virtual event. The panel will include:

The narrative of Blade Runner: Black Lotus will take place in 2032, between the two films, and will feature several well-known movie characters.
Crunchyroll previously aired the anime short “Blade Runner: Black Out 2022” in September 2017 before the release of Blade Runner 2049.
