Plot

The plot takes place in Tokyo, where Japan is preparing for the forthcoming World Sports Games (WSG), the world’s biggest athletic event. The “Japanese Bullet,” the world’s first vacuum-tube superconducting linear rail, is being designed using cutting-edge Japanese technology and will be unveiled during the WSG opening ceremonies. The train can travel at speeds of up to 1,000 kilometers per hour from Shin Nagoya Station to Tokyo Station (about 600 miles per hour). However, a bizarre occurrence unfolds at a party hosted by well-known major donors, resulting in a series of executive kidnappings. Conan deduces a potential connection to the WSG’s mass abductions in Boston 15 years before.
