On Friday, the official website for the anime light novel series By the Grace of the Gods (Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko) revealed that the anime will receive a second season.

To commemorate the announcement, character designer Kaho Deguchi created the visual shown above.

Azusa Tadokoro, the anime’s primary voice actor, sang the opening theme song “Yasashii Sekai” (Kind World). MindaRyn, a prominent YouTuber renowned for releasing cover versions of anime songs, sang the ending theme song “Blue Rose Knows” as her first single.

Synopsis
Ryoma Takebayashi is a lonely man who lived a difficult life until he died in an unfortunate accident while sleeping. In the afterlife, he is visited by three gods who got fond of him and sent him to another planet as a kid, where he uses his inherent knowledge and talents, paired with the gods’ blessings, to live a new life full of obstacles and wonderful encounters.
Novel
Roy wrote the novel series, which began publication online in January 2014 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō.
Light Novel
The series was later acquired by Hobby Japan and a light novel was released in their HJ Novels imprint on September 2017. The light novel is written by Roy and illustrated by Ririnra. As of December 22, 2020, Hobby Japan has published 10 volumes of the series. The series is licensed in North America by J-Novel Club.
Manga
On November 29, 2017, Ranran’s manga adaptation of the series began publishing on Square Enix’s Manga UP! app. As of June 7, 2021, 7 volumes has been released. The manga is licensed in North America by Square Enix.
