G Holdings Co., Ltd. revealed that it has secured the rights to create a mobile game based on the anime “Haikyu!!” and is actively developing it. This game features a story mode that allows you to relive the television anime, as well as a full-scale volleyball game created by deformed characters. No further details of the project has been revealed yet, stay tuned.
Haikyu!! is a comedy coming-of-age sports manga written by Haruichi Furudate. The manga was published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine and it ran from February 2012 to July 2020. In November 2020, Shueisha published the manga’s 45th issue. Viz Media is releasing the manga both online and in print. The manga was later released digitally in English on Shueisha’s official MANGA Plus website.
In April 2014, Season one of Haikyu!! TV anime was released. The anime’s second season debuted in October 2015, and the third season debuted in October 2016. The fourth season’s first half, Haikyu!! To The Top, premiered in January 2020 and it only aired 13 episodes. The second part, consisting of episodes 14 to 25, was scheduled to air in July, but it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Studio Production I.G is responsible for the animation of all four season of the TV anime.
