On Wednesday, Kakeru Kobashiri revealed on Twitter that his light novel series The Dawn of the Witch (Mahtsukai Reimeiki) is being adapted into a television anime. The anime’s premiere date is yet to be announced by Kobashiri.
Synopsis
The Dawn of the Witch light novel series is set in the same fantasy universe as Kobashiri’s Grimoire of Zero light novel series, in which the church and witches have been at war for 500 years and are now at peace. However, war embers continue to smoulder in certain parts of the globe. The plot revolves around Savil, a hopeless pupil at the College of Magic in the Kingdom of Wenias. Savil has lost all recollection of his life prior to enrolling in college. Albus, the headmaster of the academy, sends him to the southern part of the continent for special schooling, where witches are persecuted harshly.
