Anohana 10th Anniversary Project Announced For August 2021

Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day has announced a project for its 10th-anniversary celebration slated for August 28, 2021. Anohana’s official Twitter account made the announcement today and also shared a visual which shows members of the Super Peace Busters as grown-ups. The visual is drawn by Masayoshi Tanaka who is the character designer and animation director for the project. A new website was also created to announce this event –


Anohana TV anime aired from April 14, 2011 to June 23, 2011. It was created by Tatsuyuki Nagai, Mari Okada, and Masayoshi Tanaka. The staff includes –

Anohana: Menma e no Tegami (A Letter to Menma) anime film was released in August 2013 which is set during the summer break one year after the anime. Apart from an anime film, Anohana also has a live-action television film which was directed by Masaki Nishiura and written by Yoshihiro Izumi. The live-action film was released on September 21, 2015.

The anime is available on Crunchyroll. Crunchyroll describes this coming-of-age drama as –
Jinta Yadomi and his group of childhood friends have become estranged after a tragic accident split them apart. Now in their high school years, a sudden surprise forces each of them to confront their guilt over what happened that day and come to terms with the ghosts of their past.
