Attack on Titan episode 73 was slated for airing today. However, it was delayed due to an earthquake. A 4.7 magnitude earthquake struck Wakayama, Japan. The earthquake occurred 24 km south of Wakayama and at a very shallow depth of 6.7 km beneath the epicenter. It took place after midnight on March 15, 2021 at 12:25 am.
The episode was on air when the earthquake happened. The episode was delayed making way for the breaking news. As a result, the episode was not aired elsewhere. Funimation and Crunchyroll have both delayed the episode considering the news.
“Attack on Titan Final Season episode 73 will be postponed, due to a earthquake that occurred in Wakayama prefecture in Japan. We are sending our love to the residents there.“, said Crunchyroll on twitter.
“Due to an earthquake in Japan, Attack on Titan Final Season episode 73 will not be airing today. We’ll keep you all updated on the new release date as we know more.“, said Funimation on twitter. Although, Funimation plans to release English dub of episode 68 as usual.
Currently, there is no news on when episode 73 will air in Japan. Depending on NHK, the delay could last of a week. Only 3 episodes are left to air in the current season. This season will wrap up the series. The last three episodes are titled –
