On Sunday, June 27, “MAPPA Stage 2021 – 10th Anniversary” revealed the first promotional trailer for the anime adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man manga. The video reveals the main staff.
Chainsaw Man Anime Synopsis
The English version of the manga series is licensed by VIZ Media and they describe the show as –
Denji’s a poor young man who’ll do anything for money, even hunting down devils with his pet devil-dog Pochita. He’s a simple man with simple dreams, drowning under a mountain of debt. But his sad life gets turned upside down one day when he’s betrayed by someone he trusts. Now with the power of a devil inside him, Denji’s become a whole new man—Chainsaw Man!

Manga
Chainsaw Man is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto. The series’ first part, “Public Safety Arc” Kōan-hen) was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine from December 2018 to December 2020. As of March 4, 2021, the complete series has been collected into eleven tankōbon volumes.
The English version of the manga is available on VIZ Media in North America and on Manga Plus by Shueisha website.
Following the conclusion of the series in Weekly Shōnen Jump on December 14, 2020, Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ online magazine announced that a second part would begin on their digital platform. On December 19, 2020, it was announced that the second part, “School Arc” (Gakkō-hen), will feature Denji going to school. No further announcements have been made.
The manga had over 9.3 million copies in circulation as of March 2021. The manga was awarded the 66th Shogakukan Manga Award in the shōnen category in 2021.
