Dr. Stone Sequel Announced at the end of Season 2 finale

Dr. Stone Sequel was announced at the end of the Season 2 finale on Thursday, March 25, 2021. A promotional video was posted on TOHO animation’s YouTube channel. The new anime season will follow the ‘Age of Exploration’ arc as teased in the promotional video.

The manga is written by Riichiro Inagaki (Eyeshield 21) and illustrated by Boichi (Sun Ken Rock). Dr. Stone began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in March 2017.

One fateful day, all of humanity was petrified by a blinding flash of light. After several millennia, high schooler Taiju awakens and finds himself lost in a world of statues. However, he’s not alone! His science-loving friend Senku’s been up and running for a few months and he’s got a grand plan in mind—to kickstart civilization with the power of science!

Season 2

Dr. Stone: Stone Wars, the second season, began airing on January 14, 2021 in Japan on Tokyo MX, KBS, SUN, BS11, TVA. The show is available on Crunchyroll in English Subtitles and the English dubbed version is available on Funimation.
