Shueisha’s Young Jump magazine’s 30th issue revealed on Thursday that Satoru Noda’s Golden Kamuy manga will go on hiatus, and it will return in the 35th issue on July 29.
The author will take a three-week break for research and planning, while the magazine will take a one-week break due to an upcoming combined issue.
The manga is available in English on VIZ Media, and they describe the story as –
In the early twentieth century, Russo-Japanese War veteran Saichi “Immortal” Sugimoto scratches out a meager existence during the postwar gold rush in the wilderness of Hokkaido. When he stumbles across a map to a fortune in hidden Ainu gold, he sets off on a treacherous quest to find it. But Sugimoto is not the only interested party, and everyone who knows about the gold will kill to possess it! Faced with the harsh conditions of the northern wilderness, ruthless criminals and rogue Japanese soldiers, Sugimoto will need all his skills and luck—and the help of an Ainu girl named Asirpa—to survive.
In 2014, Noda debuted the manga in Shueisha’s Young Jump magazine. On June 18, 2021, the 26th volume was published. On May 4, 2021, Shueisha’s Young Jump magazine’s official Twitter account reported that Satoru Noda’s Golden Kamuy manga has entered its conclusion arc.
The Golden Kamuy manga’s first TV anime season debuted in April 2018 on Tokyo MX, ytv, STV, BS11. The second season debuted in October 2018 and in October 2020, the third season premiered. Hitoshi Nanba directed the series at Geno Studio. The anime was written by Noboru Takagi. Kenichiro Suehiro was responsible for the music. Crunchyroll streamed all three seasons with English subtitles, and Funimation streamed it with an English dub.
