Higehiro light novel series will come to an end with its fifth volume. The novel’s full title is Higehiro: After Being Rejected, I Shaved and Took in a High School Runaway (Hige o Soru. Soshite Joshi Kōsei o Hirō, ひげを剃る. そして女子高生を拾う).
On March 8, 2017, author Shimesaba started serializing Higehiro light novel on Kodakawa’s Kakuyomu website. On February 1, 2018, the novel was released under the Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko name. Illustrator booota started making illustrations for the novel series.

Imaru Adachi, the illustrator, adapted Higehiro light novel series into a manga series, which is currently serialized in Kadokawa Shoten’s Monthly Shonen Ace. One Peace Books will print the manga in English in North America.
The novel series’ TV anime premiered on April 5, 2021. Manabu Kamikita directs the anime at Project No.9 studio. The anime is available on Crunchyroll in Japanese with English subtitles. Muse Communication will simulcast the anime of their YouTube channel in 14 Asian countries.
The story is as follows –
Yoshida is a typical salaryman who drowns his sorrows in alcohol. One night on his way home, he comes across a runaway high school girl sitting on the pavement. In exchange for a place to stay, she offers to sleep with him. Yoshida offers her work instead and thus begins a rom-com of the most unbalanced pair you’ve ever seen!
