On Sunday April 25th, the Puella Magi Madoka Magica anime’s 10th anniversary online event announced that the franchise will get a new anime film named Gekijōban Mahō Shōjo Madoka Magica: Walpurgis no Kaiten (Turning the Tide of Walpurgis). The movie will be a direct sequel to Puella Magi Madoka Magica: The Movie Part 3: Rebellion, which was released in October 2013.

The event also announced that the Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story mobile game will feature an original story called “Maho Shojo Madoka Magica scene0.” On Monday, a two-disc soundtrack for the franchise will be released on the streaming platforms Spotify and Apple Music around the world.
The first 12-episode television anime aired in January 2011. There are three anime films of the franchise, they are –
1. Movie Part 1: Beginnings (October 2012)
2. Movie Part 2: Eternal (October 2012)
3. Movie Part 3: Rebellion (October 2013)
In January 2020, a television anime adaptation of the mobile game Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story premiered. In August 2017, the smartphone game was released in Japan for iOS and Android smartphones. It is free to play with available in-game purchases. On June 25, 2019, the English version was released in the United States and Canada. The game’s English version was retired in September of last year.
