Shueisha has listed a new Rurouni Kenshin novel named Rurouni ‘Kenshin Kamiya Dojo Monogatari’. The novel will feature Kenshin and Kaoru’s wedding, which will be released on July 2.
Synopsis
The plot of Rurouni Kenshin novel takes place in the 12th year of the Meiji period, when Kenshin and Kaoru are getting married in a small ceremony. Festive decorations have been arranged in the Kamiya household, Kenshin is dressed in the crested hakama of Kaoru’s late father Koshijirō, and Kaoru is dressed in her late mother’s wedding suit.
The original manga is written by Nobuhiro Watsuki. Watsuki’s manga appeared in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 1994 to 1999. From 1996 to 1998, television anime of the manga broadcasted in Japan, sparking several anime video projects, anime film and live-action films. The franchise consists of five live-action feature films, four of which have been released. The films are as follows:
1. Rurouni Kenshin (2012)
2. Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno (2014)
3. Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends (2014)
4. Rurouni Kenshin: The Final (April 23, 2021)
5. Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning (slated for June 4)
