On Saturday, the official website for Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! (Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai!) anime announced that the second season would air next year. A visual teaser was released to celebrate the announcement. Take, the author of the manga, also drew an illustration to celebrate Uzaki-chan’s birthday.
The anime will also release the music collection in fall which includes:
- All background music
- 2 exclusive songs
- Seishun Swimmers (Adolescence Swimmers) sung by Uzaki-chan and Shinichi
- Enjoy! Cafe Gohan (Enjoy! Cafe Food) by Ami, Akihiko, and Sakak
- Opening and Ending cover songs by Uzaki-chan
Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! (Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai!) manga is written and illustrated by Take. It has been serialized in Niconico Seiga’s Dra Dra Sharp website since December 2017. August 6, 2021, Fujimi Shobo has collected the manga into seven tankōbon volumes. Seven Seas Entertainment has licensed the manga in North America and they describe the series as:
Sakurai Shinichi’s one wish is for a little peace and quiet. But Uzaki Hana–his boisterous, well-endowed underclassman–has other plans. All she wants is to hang out and poke fun at him. With the help of her chipper charm and peppy persistence, this might just be the start of a beautiful relationship!
Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! anime’s season 1 aired from July 10, 2020 and concluded in September 25, 2020 consisting of 12 episodes. Kazuya Miura directed the anime at studio ENGI.
