On Saturday, Noriyasu Agematsu (creator of Uta no Prince Sama and Symphogear) and Aniplex’s A-1 Pictures released the first complete promotional trailer for Visual Prison “Vampire Visual Kei” anime. The announcement came during Visual Prison’s second live-stream “Power Push!!”.
What is Visual Kei?
Visual Kei is a popular Japanese music trend and subculture that has existed since the 1980s. The artists use cosmetics, elaborate haircuts, and costumes, which are generally combined with androgynous aesthetics (identifying and/or presenting as neither distinguishably masculine nor feminine).
Visual Prison Synopsis
Once a year vampire gather in Harajuku under the red moon for an event known as “Visual Prison”. The vampire bands Oz, Eclipse and Los†Eden perform visual kei songs to entice the audience and at the same time offer the best song to the red mood. Ange Yuki, a lonely boy without a family, travels to Harajuku to watch his favorite artist and sees a fierce musical fight between the bands Eclipse and Los†Eden, their enthusiastic performance captivates his heart.
