The 30th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine confirmed on Monday that the magazine would release two new manga in the upcoming 31st and 32nd issues.
Yūki Kawaguchi’s Red Hood manga will premiere in the 31st issue on June 28 and Minya Hiraga’s Neru: Bugei Dōgyō manga will debut in the magazine’s 32nd issue on July 5.
Red Hood
The Red Hood manga by Yūki Kawaguchi is a “new generation hunting fantasy” series that takes place in a town where a young man meets a mysterious hunter. Last year, Kawaguchi released a one-shot with the same title in Weekly Shonen Jump. The new serialization’s first chapter will be 54 pages long.
Neru: Bugei Dōgyō
Minya Hiraga’s Neru: Bugei Dōgyō (Neru: Martial Arts Traveling) manga formerly ran as a digital-only serialisation in Weekly Shonen Jump beginning in September 2020. The manga revolves around the character Neru, who has read a book of secrets and a self-taught martial artist. He appears at a school for famous martial arts families in an attempt to get admission.
Weekly Shonen Jump
Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump is a weekly shōnen manga anthology published in Japan under the Jump brand of magazines. It is the best-selling manga magazine and one of the longest-running. The manga series in the magazine are aimed at young teen male readers and feature a lot of action and with humour. Every two to three months, the chapters of series that appear in the magazines are collected and released in tankōbon volumes under the “Jump Comics” brand.
On January 28, 2019, Shueisha released Manga Plus, the global English-language edition of Shōnen Jump+. It, like the Japanese version, includes a huge number of free manga samples, including all of the current titles of Weekly Shōnen Jump, a sizable number of titles from Shōnen Jump+, and several titles from Jump Square. However, the most recent chapters of the current Weekly Shōnen Jump manga are made accessible for free for a short period, and it does not sell any content.
Once these manga begin serialization, it can be viewed on Shueisha’s Manga Plus website.
