On Thursday, PVR Pictures announced on their official Twitter account that Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – the Movie: Mugen Train will release in India on August 13th in select theatres. PVR Pictures revealed the below poster for the announcement.

Demon Slayer (Kitmetsu no Yaiba) is written by Koyoharu Gotouge. The manga ran in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from February 15, 2016 – May 18, 2020. The series was compiled into 23 volumes. The English version of the manga is published by VIZ media. The manga is available on Shueisha’s official Manga Plus website and VIZ media.
A 26-episode TV anime ran from April 2019 to September 2019 and became a huge hit all over the world. Haruo Sotozaki directed the anime at Ufotable studio.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train was released on 16 October 2020 in Japan. The film is a direct continuation to the anime series, focusing on the events of the “Mugen Train” plot line. The movie made a whopping $477+ million at the worldwide box office.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the 2nd: Bonds stage play will be performed in Tokyo from August 7 to 15, Osaka from August 20 to 22, and Tokyo again from August 27 to 31. The first stage adaptation premiered in Tokyo in January 2020, followed by Kobe in January and February 2020.
