On Wednesday, Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine announced that Ken Wakui’s Tokyo Revengers manga will start its last arc in the magazine’s next issue, which will be released on June 2.
Wakui Ken, the author, debuted the manga in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine in March 2017. On April 16, the manga’s 22nd compiled book volume was published by Kodansha.
Tokyo Revengers anime is currently ongoing in Japan. The is being streamed on Crunchyroll for the west and Muse Asia YouTube channel for Asian countries.
The manga has also inspired a live-action film that will open on July 9. Warner Bros. Japan is producing a live-action film based on the Tokyo Revengers manga, which was originally scheduled to debut in Japan on October 9 but has been pushed back to July 9. The film is directed by Tsutomu Hanabusa (live-action Kakegurui). The project started shooting last winter but was forced to suspend production in April in order to prioritize the welfare of the cast and crew.
Tokyo Revengers Stage Play has also been green-lit for August 2021. The announcement came from a newly opened website on Tuesday which was exclusively made for this stage play.
Synopsis
Takemichi Hanagaki is a part-time timer whose life is at rock bottom. He learns that the only girlfriend he ever had in his life whom he dated back in middle school, Hinata Tachibana had been killed by the Tokyo Manji Gang, a group of vicious criminals. The day after he learned about the incident, Takemichi’s standing on a station platform and got his back pushed onto the railroad by someone. Thinking he would die from the fall, he closes his eyes. However, when he opens it back, he somehow finds himself traveled back twelve years into the past. Now, that he returned to the peak of his life, the middle school days twelve years ago, in order to save his girlfriend, in order to change himself who had been running away all these time, Takemichi started his Revenge on his life!
