Happiness K-Drama is an ongoing TV series starring Park Hyung Sik, Han Hyo Joo, and Jo Woo Jin. It is based on a world of post Covid-19. People are still learning to get back to normal but a different infectious disease breaks out this time. The virus spread comes with dire consequences and our main characters are in the middle of all of this.
Happiness K-Drama is getting a lot of buzz as it is Park Hyung Sik’s first drama after his military service. Fans are excited to see him in action again. The drama name is something that intrigued me when I watched the trailer. We see in the trailer how the world is yet again standing at the brink of despair. How does the word ‘Happiness’ play a part in it? This makes you curious to see how the story will unwrap itself. Will we see moments of hope and humanity amid the terrible situation?
What’s guaranteed is pain, heartbreak, and helplessness. But what we might find along the way is the will to survive, hope, and humanity at its best. I think that makes Happiness K -Drama worthwhile to watch!
Jung Yi Hyun
Jung Yi Hyun played baseball during his school days. But due to a knee injury, he could not continue on that path. He is a police detective now and is pretty good at what he does. Jung Yi Hyun is protective of Yoon Sae Bom and he ends up in a situation where he has to investigate the new virus. You can also see how he is sincere and has an urge to protect people at all costs.
Yoon Sae Bom
Yoon Sae Bom is a unique character. From the start itself, you will start liking her because she is an oddball in a good way. She is part of the Counterterrorism team and her skills are unrivaled. She is quick to make decisions and act swiftly in the face of danger. Her childhood has not been easy so she wants to make the best of life as an adult.
Han Tae Seok
Han Tae Seok is a lieutenant colonel who is handling the virus outbreak. He has inside information regarding it and has a team on his hand to contain the infected people. As opposed to Jung Yi Hyun and Yoon Sae Bom, he inclines to go one step further even if that means losing human life. That does not make him a bad person, rather makes him a logical one who is ready to do what it takes so that everyone does not have to suffer.
Jung Yi Hyun and Yoon Sae Bom know each other since high school. They have an interesting meeting in their high school days that makes their lives intertwined with each other. Even as adults they are part of each other’s lives and can be called friends. Jung Yi Hyun has feelings for Yoon Sae Bom but when it comes to her she just has something different on her mind. Their dynamic stands out as fun in the first two episodes. It is entertaining to watch these two because there are no serious vibes here yet. But the development of their bond will be fascinating to watch. What makes me feel relieved is they both are competent enough to deal with an apocalyptic world.
